KILN DRYING PLANT
Gunung Seraya has installed a hot water kiln drying plant which consists of 10 kilns capable of kiln drying more than 1,000 tons of tropical hardwood a month. The location of the kilns and size of the second mill allow for at least another 10 kilns to be added if necessary. Gunung Seraya had commissioned Tritherm Technology, a leading kiln plant company with expertise from all over South-East Asia. The installation and operation of the kilns, together with the proper silos, heater, feeders and chimney are with the approval of the Department of Environment in compliance with the relevant regulations. With this kiln drying plant, Gunung Seraya will be able to further control and hence improve on the quality of drying of its timber products.
We have also installed facilities for heat treatment of wood packaging materials pursuant to ISPM15 (International Standards of Phytosanitary Measures under the International Plant Protection Convention - IPPC) and is registered with the Department of Agriculture of Malaysia for this purpose. |
